“Gibbo” is one of the most popular players on the Wirral cricket scene having played at Neston, Irby, Birkenhead Park and Birkenhead St Marys before finally settling at Oxton in 2009.
Following two years as captain Gibbo will be keen to concentrate on his batting this season and rumours suggest that he had an indoor net fitted into his new house and has been practising his beloved sweep shot all winter.
Gibbo currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most corporate lunches attended in one year. Coincidentally he also holds the record for the most run-outs in one season (although they were of course all very unlucky).
Andy is a hard-hitting batsman preferring pace on the ball and is extremely quick onto the short ball – seen at Lashings 2015 as he pulled Tino Best for six.
