Message from PYWTW referee about how to enter…
Hello everyone! It’s that time of year again for the Play Your Way to Wimbledon competition!
I know Matt has already set up the poll for those interested in playing, hopefully you all still can play!
The venue stage of the event for Oxton will take place on 19th April. Men’s doubles will start in the morning (roughly 10am) and ladies doubles will start in the afternoon (after winter league matches roughly 2pm).
We need a least 3 pairs for each draw to run. You can enter with a partner or I can pair players up.
If you would like to enter the event please message Julia on 07921921708. The deadline for entries is 11th April and exact timings of the matches will then be released.
Winners and runners up will progress to the area finals on 20st June at Upton LTC. National finals will be 2nd to 8th August at Wimbledon.
As well as the chance to play on Wimbledon’s famous grass courts in August, everyone who signs up to compete in a venue stage event has the chance to win a money-can’t-buy exclusive breakfast and day out experience at The Championships, Wimbledon with Vodafone this summer. Players will be chosen at random by the LTA and it doesn’t matter where you place in event, first or last, you have the chance to win this prize!
